Abstract

This paper proposes an analysis of the process of internal communication and use of newmedia, focusing on the Intranet as a tool for work and development of intellectual capital.There were a theoretical review and an empirical study which sought to experience theprocess of internal communication. Cargo storage companies of the Port of Santos wereselected as the universe of the research, which included interviews with those responsible forcommunication with their workforce. The potential of the intranet and collaborative tools asÂ allies in the complex process of communication and development of people became apparent,as well as the benefits that new technologies have provided to the companies studied.
