Abstract

This paper focuses in actions taken by business incubators to help their entrepreneurs look forassistance to start up their companies. It is presented that the support received by theentrepreneurs are not restricted to the resources provided by the incubator but includes alsothe network relationship between the incubator and the firm. It is focused in incubators thatreceive firms with a technological base. The assistance offered by incubator is shown and thetheories behind this assistance are developed. At the end, suggestions are introduced to helpthe incubators develop some actions in order to improve the real support given to the firmsthat are associated with it.
